Bronze, including casts from wax, clay, plaster, wood and mixed media

Madigan used multiple media to cast works into bronze. Some works were never cast, or were exhibited with the option to cast on purchase. The following gallery of photos illustrates the wide variety of her works in these media. Wax was generally used in cut-out and construction, converting her skills in single line drawing into three dimensions. It also served as a modelling medium, along with clay. Plaster was mostly used for larger works and heads. Later she used wood and wood construction - finding hidden forms of the figure in unlikely places.
